Netball Fiji has announced that discussions regarding the proposed Pacific Series with Netball New Zealand will continue. President Ruby Ann Sorovaki indicated that they have requested Netball NZ to consider canceling the current series and to focus on securing a new date for the event in the future.

In her statement, Sorovaki emphasized the importance of being well-prepared to meet the expectations surrounding the series, highlighting that they are still investigating potential funding options and team preparations.

Netball NZ had originally suggested hosting the series in January 2025, which would replace the traditional annual matches with England and Australia.

This ongoing dialogue presents an opportunity for both organizations to collaborate and ensure the series is well-structured and funded, ultimately leading to a successful event that could benefit the regional netball community.

In summary, Netball Fiji is actively engaged in discussions with Netball New Zealand to create a well-planned Pacific Series, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing the sport in the region. This proactive approach could foster greater opportunities for future competitions and growth in netball across the Pacific.
