Netball Fiji has announced that discussions regarding the proposed Pacific Series with Netball New Zealand will continue. Ruby Ann Sorovaki, the president of Netball Fiji, mentioned that they have approached Netball NZ to explore the possibility of postponing the series to a later date.

Currently, efforts are being made to secure funding and prepare the teams adequately for the series, emphasizing the need to meet the expectations associated with such an event. Netball New Zealand initially suggested hosting the series in January 2025, replacing the traditional annual matches against England and Australia.

This ongoing conversation reflects a commitment to ensuring that both teams are well-prepared, which could lead to a stronger partnership in the Pacific region’s netball community. Support for this initiative can foster deeper collaboration and growth in the sport, which is promising for future competitions and development pathways.

Overall, the continued dialogue between Netball Fiji and Netball New Zealand indicates a proactive approach to the sport’s evolution in the Pacific, potentially paving the way for exciting developments in netball in the region.
