Nemani Nadolo Joins Fijian Drua as Development Coach

Former Flying Fijians winger and Crusaders standout Nemani Nadolo has taken on a new challenge as he joins the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coaching staff in the role of Development Coach. The Namatakula native, who has an impressive background in rugby, brings a wealth of experience to the team, having played in 30 Test matches for Fiji and scoring a total of 242 points.

Nadolo’s playing career includes notable stints in top-tier rugby competitions, including Super Rugby Pacific, where he made 39 appearances and achieved 27 tries for the Crusaders. He also played for the Waratahs, adding another try in four matches to his resume. His remarkable performances have secured him the title of the second-highest try scorer in Flying Fijians history, tied with Aisea Tuilevu at 21 tries. Additionally, he ranks fourth in Fiji’s all-time points list, following Ben Volavola, Seremaia Bai, and Nicky Little.

At 37, Nadolo is set to focus on enhancing individual player skills and collaborating closely with the Drua coaching team to fortify the club’s player development pathway. His transition from a celebrated player to a coach is not just a personal milestone for him, but also a positive opportunity for aspiring players who will benefit from his extensive knowledge of the game.

Nadolo’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of rugby talent illustrates a hopeful outlook for both him and the players under his guidance. As he embarks on this new chapter, it’s clear that his journey will inspire many, showcasing the potential for former athletes to make significant contributions to the sport long after their playing days have concluded. This transition is a testament to the enduring passion for rugby and the importance of mentorship in the game.
