The draw for the pool stages of the Dayal’s Sawmillers National Club Championship (NCC) 2025 has been announced, signaling the end of the 2025 football season. Six premier club teams from across the nation have earned their spots in the national finals, which followed a competitive series of zonal playoffs last week.
Scheduled to take place from December 11 to December 14 at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa, the tournament promises an exciting conclusion to the season. Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf emphasized the event’s significance, noting the strong representation from all major districts in the competition.
Yusuf remarked, “Some teams may be affected as a few players have signed professional contracts with Bula FC and won’t feature in these final rounds, but this only highlights the strength of our development pathway.” His comments underscore the ongoing progression within Fijian football, which is increasingly producing talent that can compete at higher levels.
The tournament will feature two matches on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with the top team from each group advancing to the final set for Sunday at 1 p.m. Teams will be competing for a substantial prize, with this year’s champions receiving $4,000 and the runner-up taking home $1,500.
This championship not only showcases the best of Fijian football but also provides a platform for local talent to shine, creating an optimistic future for the sport in the region.
