Nayacalevu’s New Chapter: First Sharks Game On The Horizon!

Waisea Nayacalevu, the captain of the Flying Fijians, is set to make his debut with his new club, Sale Sharks, as they prepare for the upcoming Gallagher Premiership season. This commitment may prevent him from participating in the Flying Fijians’ Pacific Nations Cup campaign, which begins on August 23.

Nayacalevu signed a one-year contract with Sale Sharks in March, with the possibility of extending it for another year. He left French Top 14 club Toulon earlier this year, as it was reported that they would not renew his contract after the season concluded.

Sale Sharks will begin their pre-season with matches against northern rivals Caldy and URC side Connacht. They will first take on Championship team Caldy on August 23 at Paton Field in England. Following this, they will face Connacht at the Dexcom Stadium in Galway, Ireland, on August 31. The pre-season will conclude with a special home friendly on the first weekend of September.
