A total of 333 yachts have visited Nawi Island Marina since its opening, highlighting the facility’s growing popularity as a leading yachting destination in Fiji and the Pacific.

During the current cruising season, Nawi Island reports an impressive influx of 70 to 75 yachts each month. Among the recorded yachts, seven have been classified as super yachts, which are renowned for their luxury and size.

The marina meets Australian construction standards and is engineered to endure conditions up to a category 5 cyclone, featuring 132 berths that accommodate super yachts up to 85 meters. Essential amenities include full-service toilet and shower facilities, a fuel jetty, 24-hour security, a range of power supply options, laundry services, and UV filtered water.

Nawi Island Marina is positioned as a transformative asset for cruising yachts looking to enjoy year-round access in Fiji. Its robust construction and unique horseshoe design, nestled within a tropical basin, provide an ideal refuge during cyclone season.

“Nawi Island Marina is designed to be a secure haven for your vessel, allowing you to unwind and discover our island paradise,” the marina stated. They emphasized their location in a natural safe harbor, where berths are fortified with heavy-duty piles and enhanced height for storm surges, complemented by floating concrete pontoons and continuous security monitoring.

While the marina is currently experiencing peak season, a decrease in yacht visitors is anticipated as the off-season approaches in November. Nevertheless, Nawi Island has already secured 20 confirmed bookings for off-season yachts, with another 20 pending confirmation. These vessels will stay in Savusavu while their owners travel home.

“We are grateful to welcome so many new visitors during Fiji’s peak cruising season and are committed to fostering the growth of yachting tourism in the northern region of Fiji, specifically in Savusavu, known as the ‘hidden paradise,’” the marina shared on its Facebook page. “Join us for an unparalleled experience and relax in absolute luxury at Nawi!”
