A new men’s champion will be determined tomorrow at the 38th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s, following an exciting day of eliminations. Defending titleholders Army Green faced an early exit after falling 19-14 to the TEMC Warriors during the first round of knockout matches held in Nadi.

Ratu Filise also failed to advance in the Cup competition, losing to Nakavika with a score of 12-7. Meanwhile, the Devo Babas showcased their current dominance in Fijian rugby, securing a commanding 39-0 victory over Vuda Green.

Other notable performances in the eliminations included Wardens Gold, which defeated Waibasaga Blues 24-0, and Tabadamu, which triumphed over Nakovacake 26-12. The Lavidi Brothers narrowly overcame Nawaka Black with a 12-5 win, while Police Blue struggled to secure a tight 5-0 victory against Nahehevia Patriots.

The day saw Sesame Brothers defeat Vuna 14-5, and Grassroots Rugby claim a close 19-17 victory over Nasonini. Brothers shattered Duavata with a striking 31-7 win, while Nakavu secured a solid 17-0 win against Duiyasana.

Vanuavou Brothers edged out Bula Brothers 10-7, Westfield Tigers triumphed over SR Ubuntu 19-7, and Vacalea won against Qilai, finishing at 24-5. Additionally, matches concluded with Nasesevia edging out Army Red 7-5 and Yaro Chiefs narrowly defeating Ravoravo 12-7.
