Nasinu Secondary School will return to its traditional navy-blue jersey for the Vodafone Super Deans under-18 final against Queen Victoria School today. Discussions about the uniforms of both schools emerged after their semi-final victories last weekend. Throughout the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union season, both teams had been wearing sky-blue jerseys. However, to prevent any confusion during the final, Nasinu has opted to wear its customary navy-blue colors.
Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union vice president Savenaca Muamua confirmed that the jerseys were delivered to Nasinu Secondary School on Thursday. Queen Victoria School will continue wearing their sky-blue jerseys. Additionally, the rugby union’s operations will remain unchanged, with police presence at the venue to ensure a safe environment for the games. Security measures will include bag checks at the entrance.
All matches, including the Weet-Bix Raluve finals, will take place at the main HFC Bank Stadium. Teams should also be aware that scouts are on the lookout for talent, with players from schools like Lami High already being noted by the Fijian Drua academy. The Deans finals are set to start today at 8 am.
