Navua claimed a 2-1 victory against Tailevu Naitasiri in Round 16 of the Digicel Premier League 2024 at Ratu Cakobau Park today. Kolinio Sivoki opened the scoring for Navua with an impressive header.
Tailevu Naitasiri had several strong attempts to equalize, but Navua’s goalkeeper, Jovilisi Borisi, performed exceptionally well, making vital saves, including a close-range header from France Katorogo.
In the second half, Ali Mekawir extended Navua’s lead with a precise shot from the edge of the 18-yard box, hitting the far post. Tailevu Naitasiri’s Mosese Nabose converted a penalty in the final moments of the match, but it was not enough to turn the game around.
