Navua achieved a 2-1 victory against Tailevu Naitasiri in Round 16 of the Digicel Premier League 2024 at Ratu Cakobau Park today.
The match began with Navua taking the lead through a remarkable header from Kolinio Sivoki.
Despite strong attempts from Tailevu Naitasiri, Navua’s goalkeeper Jovilisi Borisi showcased his skills, making key saves, including denying a close header from France Katorogo.
In the second half, Ali Mekawir extended Navua’s advantage with a precise shot from the edge of the 18-yard box that hit the far right-hand post.
Although Mosese Nabose scored a penalty for Tailevu Naitasiri in the final minutes of the game, it was not enough to secure a comeback.
