Navua achieved a 2-1 victory over Tailevu Naitasiri in Round 16 of the 2024 Digicel Premier League at Ratu Cakobau Park today.
Kolinio Sivoki kicked off the scoring with an impressive header. Despite a few strong attempts from Tailevu Naitasiri, Navua’s goalkeeper, Jovilisi Borisi, showcased exceptional skills, making vital saves, including one from a close header by France Katorogo.
In the second half, Ali Mekawir extended Navua’s lead with a precise shot from the edge of the 18-yard box that found the far right-hand post. In the closing moments of the match, Mosese Nabose from Tailevu Naitasiri managed to convert a penalty, but it was not sufficient to turn the game around.
