Navua claimed a 2-1 victory over Tailevu Naitasiri in Round 16 of the 2024 Digicel Premier League at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Kolinio Sivoki gave Navua the lead early on with a remarkable header. Despite several strong attempts from Tailevu Naitasiri, Navua’s goalkeeper Jovilisi Borisi showcased his skills with vital saves, including stopping a close header from France Katorogo.
In the second half, Ali Mekawir extended Navua’s advantage with a precise shot from the edge of the 18-yard box that struck the far right post. Although Mosese Nabose of Tailevu Naitasiri scored a penalty in the final moments of the match, it was insufficient to turn the tide in their favor.
