Navua achieved a commanding 3-0 victory over Labasa in their final Group A match of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) held in Lautoka today, keeping their semifinal ambitions alive.
The team, coached by Saiyad Ali, took an early lead thanks to Arami Manumanubai’s goal in the 8th minute. Young forward Usaia Tilivarua extended Navua’s lead right after the second half began, and defender Isake Naduvu added a third goal late in the match to secure the win.
With this result, Stratum Construction/Zeg Investment Navua has reached a total of four points and will now await the outcome of the Lautoka versus Suva match to determine their chances of advancing. Host team Lautoka, currently on three points, can ensure their progression with a victory over Suva, who sits on one point and must secure a strong win to stay in contention.
