Navua secured a decisive 3-0 victory against Labasa in their final Group A match of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) in Lautoka today, keeping their semifinal hopes intact.
A goal from Arami Manumanubai in the 8th minute set the tone for Saiyad Ali’s team. Young striker Usaia Tilivarua extended Navua’s lead right after halftime, and defender Isake Naduvu capped off the performance with a late goal.
With this win, Stratum Construction/Zeg Investment Navua now has four points, and they are waiting for the outcome of the Lautoka versus Suva match to determine their semifinal prospects. Host team Lautoka holds three points, and a victory against Suva would allow them and Labasa to advance, while Suva, with just one point, requires a significant win to move forward.
