Navua showcased an impressive performance, defeating Labasa 3-0 in their final Group A match of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) held in Lautoka today, thereby keeping their semifinal chances alive.
The opening goal came from Arami Manumanubai in the 8th minute, putting the team ahead 1-0 under the guidance of coach Saiyad Ali. Following the halftime break, young striker Usaia Tilivarua quickly extended Navua’s lead. Defender Isake Naduvu then added a third goal late in the game to secure the victory.
With this win, Stratum Construction/Zeg Investment Navua now sits with four points and is awaiting the outcome of the match between Lautoka and Suva to determine their progression. Hosts Lautoka, currently with three points, can advance with a victory over Suva, who has just one point and must achieve a solid win to have a chance at moving forward.
