Nausori’s $30M Mall Project: A New Era of Economic Growth

Construction has commenced on a significant $30 million mall project expected to transform commerce and generate numerous employment opportunities in Nausori.

The Amra’s Mall project, located in Lakena, just outside Nausori town, will encompass various facilities and amenities, such as retail shops, dining establishments, entertainment options, health and wellness centers, as well as parking and public areas.

Mahendar Singh, managing director of Amra’s Hire Plant Ltd, stated that by continually investing in new projects and developments, the company aims to reinforce its status as a prominent local investor while making substantial contributions to the economic and social advancement of Fiji.

“This will spur economic activity, create job opportunities, and contribute to the overall well-being and progress of local communities,” Mr. Singh remarked.

Investment Fiji CEO Kamal Chetty highlighted the project’s significance as a strong testament to confidence in the nation’s economy.

“Amra’s investment in Nausori demonstrates the trust that investors place in Fiji’s potential and will improve the quality of life for local inhabitants,” Mr. Chetty stated.

“Our vision is to foster a vibrant and dynamic business landscape for both local and foreign investors, creating avenues for Fiji’s economic growth.”

The two-story mall project was launched last year, and construction is projected to finish by mid-2026.

According to Investment Fiji, the location of Amra’s project is strategic, given its closeness to major transport hubs, a rapidly growing population, strong economic potential, and the potential to aid in community development.
