Nausori’s $30 Million Mall: A Game Changer for Fiji’s Economy

Construction has officially commenced on a significant $30 million mall project expected to transform the business landscape and generate numerous job opportunities in Nausori.

The Amra’s Mall project, located in Lakena just outside Nausori town, will encompass a variety of facilities and amenities, such as retail stores, dining options, entertainment venues, health and wellness centers, along with parking and public spaces.

Mahendar Singh, managing director of Amra’s Hire Plant Ltd, stated that their continuous investment in new projects aims to reinforce their status as a leading local investor while making substantial contributions to the economic and social progress of Fiji.

“It stimulates economic activity, creates job opportunities, and enhances the well-being and development of local communities,” Singh affirmed in a statement.

Kamal Chetty, CEO of Investment Fiji, indicated that the project is a strong sign of confidence in the nation’s economy.

“Amra’s investment in Nausori reflects the trust that investors have in Fiji’s potential and will improve the quality of life for local residents,” Chetty remarked. “Our vision is to foster a vibrant and dynamic business environment for both local and foreign investors that brings growth opportunities to Fiji.”

The two-story mall initiative was launched last year, with construction projected to be completed by mid-2026.

According to Investment Fiji, the Amra’s project is strategically situated due to its proximity to essential transportation links, a rapidly expanding population, robust economic potential, and the ability to support community development.
