The newly inaugurated Nausori Town Plaza, a $30 million investment, is poised to be a significant catalyst for the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the region. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Prof. Biman Prasad, highlighted the plaza’s potential during its official opening, coinciding with the Chinese New Year celebrations last Saturday.

Encompassing 15,000 square meters, the plaza features 41 units designed to support local businesses and entrepreneurs. Prof. Prasad noted that this development goes beyond mere construction; it is set to create numerous job opportunities in fields such as retail and hospitality within the local community.

He emphasized how the Nausori Plaza will serve as a foundational platform for SMEs to flourish, thereby revitalizing local businesses and industries. Moreover, this initiative is expected to enhance the skills and expertise of local employees, ultimately strengthening the region’s workforce.

Prof. Prasad further elaborated that the plaza’s development would bring a multiplier effect, driving further investments and economic activities that would benefit not only Nausori but also surrounding towns and villages.

This ambitious project represents a positive step towards economic growth and sustainability in the region, reinforcing the government’s commitment to empowering local businesses and fostering job creation.

In summary, the Nausori Town Plaza is not just a new commercial space, but a promising opportunity for community development, economic revitalization, and the overall enhancement of local livelihoods.
