Nausori Town Council Unveils New Market Stall Fees!

Spread the love

The Cabinet has given its approval for the fees and charges related to market stall rentals at the newly established Nakasi Market, operated by the Nausori Town Council. This decision was taken during a Cabinet meeting held in Suva yesterday.

This decision builds on the earlier revisions made in September of the previous year concerning market stall fees for Levuka, Rakiraki, and Tavua. Additionally, the Cabinet approved updates to the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) base fees, user-pay public conveniences, and garbage collection services specifically for Rakiraki and Tavua.

These changes will be enacted once the pertinent By-laws are published in the official gazette.

The introduction of these fees is a positive step towards better management and maintenance of public facilities, helping to enhance the service experience for residents and visitors alike. As local markets flourished, this could provide valuable revenue for the town council, ultimately contributing to improved services and community initiatives.
