Nausori Town Council Reveals New Market Stall Rental Fees!

The Cabinet has taken an important step by approving the fees and charges set by the Nausori Town Council for market stall rentals at the newly constructed Nakasi Market. This decision was made during a cabinet meeting held in Suva yesterday.

In addition to this new fee structure, the Cabinet also reviewed and updated the fees for market stalls in Levuka, Rakiraki, and Tavua, which had previously been approved in September of last year. Furthermore, revisions were made to Public Service Vehicle (PSV) base fees, as well as user-pay public conveniences and garbage collection services specifically for the towns of Rakiraki and Tavua.

These changes will be implemented once the appropriate By-laws are officially published in the gazette, paving the way for enhanced services and facilities for residents and visitors alike.

This initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving local services and supporting market operators, ultimately fostering economic growth in these communities. The adjustments to fees reflect an ongoing effort to optimize public services while ensuring that councils have the necessary resources to maintain and develop community facilities.
