Nausori Council Unveils New Market Stall Fees: What You Need to Know!

Spread the love

The Cabinet has given the green light to new fees and charges for market stall rentals at the recently built Nakasi Market in Nausori. This decision was reached during a cabinet meeting held in Suva yesterday.

In addition to this, updates to existing fees for market stalls, which were previously approved last September for locations including Levuka, Rakiraki, and Tavua, have also been confirmed. Furthermore, revisions to the base fees for Public Service Vehicles (PSV), as well as charges related to public conveniences and garbage collection services in Rakiraki and Tavua, have received approval.

These changes will take effect once the relevant By-laws are published in the official gazette.

This move reflects a proactive approach by the government to not only improve local market operations but also to ensure fair and updated service fees across various regions. As communities adapt to these changes, it is hoped that the new policies will contribute positively to local economies and the sustainability of public services.
