This year’s Weet-Bix Raluve Under-18 competition will welcome a new champion as Natabua High School defeated the defending champions Dawasamu Secondary School with a score of 27-22 in the second semifinal match this afternoon.
Natabua High School established an early lead by scoring their first converted try. Dawasamu Secondary maintained their composure and managed to reduce the deficit to 7-5 by halftime.
The team from Lautoka continued their momentum into the second half, quickly securing their second try. Although Dawasamu responded rapidly, Natabua stretched their advantage with two quick tries.
Even with Dawasamu’s determined efforts, including a third try that showcased their fighting spirit, Natabua broke through their defense once more to score their fourth try, sealing the victory.
Natabua High School is set to face Adi Cakobau School in the Under-18 final next weekend.
