The Natabua U18 girls’ rugby team is honing their strategy as they prepare to take on the U18 Raluve champion, Dawasamu Secondary, in a semi-final match tomorrow at HFC Stadium. Comprising students from Year 9 to 13, the team is filled with enthusiasm as they approach this tough challenge against the Tailevu-based school.
Head coach Inoke Vucago expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from parents and the school, which he views as vital to their preparation. “Our preparation has been going well, and our biggest supporters are our parents and the school. Parents are coming out in full force to support us,” Vucago remarked.
The coaching staff features notable experience, including former Flying Fijians fly-half and Queen Victoria School Deans player Waisea Luveniyali, who is collaborating with Yasawa head coach Taione Ratu. Their expertise is anticipated to play an essential role in leading the team through this significant match.
As the Natabua girls get ready for this pivotal game, their commitment, along with the steadfast support from their community, positions them as strong contenders.
