This year’s Weet-Bix Raluve Under-18 competition will witness a new champion after Natabua High School eliminated the reigning titleholders, Dawasamu Secondary School, with a score of 27-22 in the second semifinal held this afternoon.
Natabua High School started strong, scoring an early converted try. However, Dawasamu Secondary maintained their composure and managed to narrow the gap to 7-5 at halftime.
In the second half, the Lautoka team quickly added to their score with a second try. Dawasamu responded promptly, yet Natabua surged ahead with two more tries.
Despite Dawasamu’s relentless efforts, showcased by their third try, Natabua capitalized on an opening in their defense, scoring a final try to claim victory.
Natabua will now face Adi Cakobau School in the Under-18 final next weekend.
