This year’s Weet-Bix Raluve Under-18 competition will introduce a new champion after Natabua High School defeated the defending champions, Dawasamu Secondary School, with a score of 27-22 in the second semifinal held this afternoon.
Natabua High School started strong, scoring a converted try early on. Dawasamu Secondary remained focused and managed to reduce the deficit to 7-5 by halftime.
The Lautoka-based team continued their momentum in the second half, quickly adding a second try. Although Dawasamu responded promptly, Natabua extended their lead with two quick tries.
Despite the resilience shown by Dawasamu, who added a third try showcasing their fighting spirit, Natabua broke through their defense one last time to score their fourth try, sealing the victory.
Natabua High School will face Adi Cakobau School in the Under-18 final next weekend.
