Natabua High School’s Rugby Team Gears Up for Semis: Will Discipline Make the Difference?

The Natabua High School Under-18 girls rugby team is focusing on enhancing their discipline and fundamental skills ahead of next week’s Weet-Bix Raluve Trophy semi-final. This was shared by head coach Inoke Vucago following their impressive 41-0 victory over Nasinu Secondary School on Friday.

Vucago emphasized the team’s determination, stating, “We lost in the quarterfinal last year, and we came back this year hungry to advance further.” He noted the importance of taking it one game at a time as the players have been well-prepared leading up to the quarterfinals.

After leading 17-0 at halftime, he instructed the players to build on their lead. Many of the team members have experience playing in the Marama Championship for clubs in Nadi, Yasawa, and Lautoka, contributing to their readiness for 40-minute rugby matches.

Vucago expressed pride in his team’s hard work and commitment to their game plan, highlighting their desire to win. He dedicated the victory to the parents, teachers, and students of Natabua High School. He also pointed out the team’s strengths, noting the dominance of their forwards and the balance provided by a capable backline.
