In this year’s Weet-Bix Raluve Under-18 competition, a new champion will be crowned as Natabua High School eliminated the defending champions, Dawasamu Secondary School, with a score of 27-22 in the second semifinal held this afternoon.
Natabua High School seized an early advantage by scoring a converted try. Dawasamu Secondary remained calm and managed to narrow the score to 7-5 by halftime.
The Lautoka team quickly increased their lead in the second half with their second try. Although Dawasamu fought back effectively, Natabua added two quick tries to further extend their lead.
Despite Dawasamu’s determination and a noteworthy third try that showcased their competitive spirit, Natabua broke through their defense once more to secure a decisive fourth try, sealing the victory.
Natabua will now advance to face Adi Cakobau School in the Under-18 final scheduled for next weekend.
