Natabua High School Seeks Redemption in Weet-Bix Raluve Trophy Semi-Final

The Natabua High School Under-18 girls rugby team is set to enhance their discipline and fundamental skills as they prepare for the upcoming Weet-Bix Raluve Trophy semi-final. This statement was made by NHS head coach Inoke Vucago following their impressive 41-0 victory over Nasinu Secondary School last Friday.

Reflecting on their previous experience, Vucago noted, “We lost in the quarterfinal last year, and this year, we are determined to go beyond that.” He emphasized the importance of taking each match one at a time, highlighting the team’s solid preparation prior to the quarterfinal.

At halftime, the coach urged the players to increase their scoring after leading 17-0. He mentioned that many of the players have experience from participating in the Marama Championship with the Nadi, Yasawa, and Lautoka under-20 clubs, equipping them well for 40-minute rugby matches.

Vucago is looking for an improved performance in the semi-final, expressing pride in his players for their hard work and commitment to executing 80 percent of their game plan with a strong desire to win.

He dedicated the victory to the parents, teachers, and students of NHS, pointing out that their biggest strength lies in their forwards, who have shown dominance, while also possessing a capable backline that provides balance to the team.
