Natabua High School has reclaimed the Weet-Bix Raluve under-18 title after a strong performance, securing victory against Adi Cakobau School with a score of 20-15. This win marks their return to the championship crown, having first achieved this feat in 2022.
Laisani Mudunalalawa was a standout player for Natabua, playing a crucial role in their success by contributing to all their tries and demonstrating resilience during defensive moments. Although ACS made a strong effort in the second half with two tries, they fell short as time ran out.
Head coach Inoke Vucago expressed pride in his team, highlighting their hard work and commitment during their preparation in Lautoka. He noted the painful memory of their exit in last year’s quarter-finals as a motivating factor for their successful title run this year.
Vucago emphasized that the team was determined to reclaim the trophy, fulfilling the promise they made after their previous loss. The team’s structure is particularly noteworthy, as they include players from years nine to thirteen, indicating a focus on fostering talent for the future.
