Natabua High School’s U18 girls are preparing for a tough semi-final match against the reigning Raluve U18 champions, Dawasamu Secondary School from Tailevu, taking place at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this Saturday.
School principal Virendra Sharma highlighted the team’s intense preparation and the significant backing from parents. He stated, “The support from the parents has been excellent; our girls’ advancement to the semi-final match is a result of the encouragement and hard work of the parents. They have been there from training to recovery to game day, and we thank them for their continuous support.”
As the only team from Natabua advancing to the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Raluve finals this year, the U18 girls carry the school’s aspirations. Sharma recognized the challenge they face ahead.
“We respect Dawasamu and know they will come out and give us a good game,” Sharma remarked.
The Natabua U18 girls are determined to leave their mark and secure a spot in the finals. The match is set to be an exciting display of talent and spirit from high school rugby.
