NATABUA High School successfully wrapped up its inter-house athletics competition, with Pluto House taking first place, amassing an impressive total of 3128 points. Venus House finished closely behind in second with 3108 points, while Jupiter House secured third place with 3088 points, and Mars House ended in fourth with 3021 points.

In this year’s competition, Jupiter House emerged as the overall champion in the girls’ division, whereas Venus House clinched the title in the boys’ division. Principal Virendra Sharma commented on the heightened level of competition this year, highlighting a balanced strength between the boys and girls, and noting the remarkable performances of new athletes who achieved unexpected victories.

A standout moment came as Inoke Nasoqa, a junior boy, received the male athlete award—the first time such an honor was bestowed on a junior at Natabua. Sharma remarked on the competitive spirit, indicating that the differentiation in winning houses across genders speaks volumes about the diverse talent present in the school.

This event aligns with a broader trend seen across inter-house athletics competitions in Fijian schools, where young athletes are not only encouraged to participate but also to showcase their skills in a supportive environment. Competitions like this serve to foster camaraderie, teamwork, and healthy competition among students, which is vital for developing future sporting talents.

Overall, the thriving athletic culture at Natabua High School reflects hope for both individual athletes and the school’s sporting future, inspiring participants to strive for new heights in their athletic endeavors.
