Nasinu Secondary School maintained their unbeaten streak in the Vodafone U18 Deans competition with a narrow 17-13 victory over Tailevu North College during their quarterfinal match at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this afternoon.

Tailevu North made a strong start by taking a 6-0 lead through two successful penalties converted by Ratu Kolinio in the 5th and 12th minutes. However, Nasinu quickly responded with a determined effort. Josevata Vaibete touched down in the 26th minute, and following a successful conversion, Nasinu took a 7-6 lead.

The match was fiercely contested, with Tailevu North facing disciplinary issues that resulted in a yellow card. Despite this disadvantage, they managed to cross the try line, although the referee did not award the score. Seizing the opportunity, Nasinu scored another determined try, further increasing their lead.

Tailevu North later succeeded in scoring a remarkable try, which was ultimately confirmed by the referees after some discussion. Nevertheless, a second yellow card for Tailevu North left them with one less player, and Nasinu capitalized on this advantage. They sealed their victory with a late penalty, concluding the match at 17-13.
