Nasinu Secondary School continued their impressive undefeated streak in the Vodafone U18 Deans competition by narrowly defeating Tailevu North College 17-13 during their quarterfinal match at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this afternoon.

The game started with Tailevu North surprising their opponents, taking an early 6-0 lead thanks to two penalties scored by Ratu Kolinio in the 5th and 12th minutes.

However, Nasinu quickly flipped the game in their favor with a spirited display. Josevata Vaibete scored a try in the 26th minute, and after a successful conversion, Nasinu took a 7-6 lead.

The match remained fierce, but Tailevu North faced disciplinary issues which led to a yellow card. Despite being a player down, they showed resilience, managing to cross the try line, although the referee did not award the score.

Seizing the opportunity, Nasinu fought hard for another try, extending their lead. Tailevu North then produced a brilliant try, which the referees eventually validated after some discussion.

However, further disciplinary troubles resulted in a second yellow card for Tailevu North, leaving them with one fewer player. Nasinu capitalized on this advantage and secured victory with a late penalty, ending the match at 17-13.
