The Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, is urging business owners in Nasinu to invest in their communities and support local initiatives to foster a socially cohesive environment. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Nasinu Festival last Saturday, Mr. Nalumisa emphasized the important role businesses play in this transformation.
He stated, “Our future is bright, but it requires the effort of each one of us.” He highlighted that by investing in the community, creating jobs, and supporting local programs, businesses can contribute to building a town that is both economically vibrant and socially united.
Mr. Nalumisa expressed optimism that with ongoing business support, Nasinu Town could thrive and become “a beacon of hope,” exemplifying the achievements possible when communities work together towards a common goal. He envisioned a town where everyone, including children, youths, women, and the elderly, has the opportunity to succeed.
He concluded by calling for the development of a city that excels not only in prosperity but also in compassion, unity, and shared purpose.
