Nasinu Secondary School has clinched a place in the Vodafone Deans Trophy final following a hard-fought 33-20 win against Cuvu College in the Under-18 semifinal.
The match started with Nasinu taking an early lead as Rafaele Dagaga scored a converted try, putting them ahead 7-0. Cuvu College responded swiftly with a try from their captain, Josaia Ralulu, narrowing the score to 7-5 with an unconverted try.
Nasinu then increased their advantage through Viliame Matailevu, who scored two converted tries, bringing the score to 21-5. Cuvu rallied back with two unconverted tries, reducing the deficit to 21-15 by halftime.
In the second half, Cuvu continued to push, scoring a fourth unconverted try to make the score 21-20. However, Nasinu quickly countered, extending their lead to 28-20. They sealed the match with another try just before the final whistle, concluding the game at 33-20.
