Nasinu Secondary School has advanced to the Vodafone Deans Trophy final following a 33-20 win over Cuvu College in the Under-18 semifinal.
The match started with Nasinu taking an early lead, thanks to a converted try from Rafaele Dagaga, making the score 7-0. Cuvu College quickly responded with an unconverted try from their captain Josaia Ralulu, narrowing the score to 7-5.
Nasinu’s Viliame Matailevu then added two more converted tries, extending their lead to 21-5. Cuvu continued to battle back, scoring two unconverted tries before halftime, which brought the score to 21-15.
As the second half progressed, Cuvu maintained their push, scoring a fourth unconverted try and reducing the deficit to just one point at 21-20. However, Nasinu countered promptly, increasing their lead to 28-20. They capped off their performance with a final try just before the match ended, securing their victory at 33-20.
