Nasinu Secondary School has advanced to the Vodafone Deans Trophy final following a hard-fought 33-20 win over Cuvu College in the Under-18 semifinal. Nasinu started strong with a converted try from Rafaele Dagaga, taking a 7-0 lead. Cuvu quickly answered back with an unconverted try by their captain Josaia Ralulu, narrowing the score to 7-5.
Nasinu’s Viliame Matailevu added two more converted tries, extending the lead to 21-5. Cuvu responded with two unconverted tries, reducing the deficit to 21-15 by halftime. They maintained their momentum in the second half, scoring an additional unconverted try to bring the score to 21-20.
Despite Cuvu’s efforts, Nasinu quickly replied, extending their lead to 28-20 before sealing the match with one final try just before the end, concluding the game at 33-20.
