Nasinu Secondary School held its long-awaited formal inter-house athletics meet yesterday at the HFC Bank Stadium, showcasing the impressive athletic prowess of its students after a three-year hiatus. The competition was fierce, culminating in a tie between Tanoa and Qaraniqio Houses, each claiming 29 gold medals. However, the champions emerged from Tanoa House, which secured victory by winning the highest number of silver medals—35 in total—along with 30 bronze medals.
In second place, Qaraniqio House managed to claim 27 silver and 22 bronze medals. Tovata House finished third, achieving a respectable tally of 24 gold, 15 silver, and 19 bronze medals. Rawiriwiri House rounded out the standings in fourth place with 13 gold, 14 silver, and 19 bronze.
Looking ahead, Nasinu Secondary School is now focused on preparing its athletes for the upcoming Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Suva Zone One meet, significantly signaling a return to competitive athletics for the students. This event not only highlights the talent cultivated within the school but also sets the stage for future competitions, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and athletic excellence among the students.
