Nasinu Secondary School maintained their unbeaten streak in the Vodafone U18 Deans competition, achieving a tough 17-13 victory over Tailevu North College in the quarterfinal held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this afternoon.

Tailevu North surprised the southern zone champions by taking an early 6-0 lead, thanks to two successful penalties from Ratu Kolinio in the 5th and 12th minutes.

However, Nasinu quickly regained control, with Josevata Vaibete scoring a try in the 26th minute. Following the successful conversion, Nasinu took a narrow lead of 7-6.

The match was fiercely contested, with Tailevu North facing disciplinary challenges that resulted in a yellow card. Despite the setback, they managed to fight back, crossing the try line, although the referee did not award the score.

Nasinu seized the momentum, scoring another hard-earned try to increase their lead. Tailevu North fought back with an impressive try that the referees eventually awarded after some discussion.

Unfortunately for Tailevu North, a second yellow card further weakened their position, leaving them a player short. Nasinu capitalized on this advantage, sealing their victory with a late penalty, concluding the match at 17-13.
