Nasinu Secondary School has advanced to the Vodafone Deans Trophy final following a 33-20 win over Cuvu College in the Under-18 semifinal.
The match began with Nasinu taking an early lead, thanks to a converted try by Rafaele Dagaga, which put them ahead 7-0. Cuvu College answered with an unconverted try from their captain Josaia Ralulu, pulling the score to 7-5.
Nasinu’s Viliame Matailevu then contributed significantly by scoring two additional converted tries, increasing their lead to 21-5. Cuvu responded resiliently, registering two unconverted tries that brought the halftime score to 21-15 in favor of Nasinu.
The second half saw Cuvu continue to apply pressure, scoring a fourth unconverted try that narrowed the score to 21-20. However, Nasinu quickly regained their footing, extending their lead to 28-20. They sealed their victory with a final try just before the match concluded, resulting in a 33-20 score.
