Nasinu Secondary School has earned a spot in the Vodafone Deans Trophy final after securing a hard-fought 33-20 win against Cuvu College in the Under-18 semifinal.
Nasinu started strong with a converted try from Rafaele Dagaga, taking an early lead of 7-0. Cuvu answered back with an unconverted try from their captain Josaia Ralulu, bringing the score to 7-5.
Nasinu’s Viliame Matailevu then boosted their advantage by scoring two additional converted tries, pushing the score to 21-5. Cuvu rallied, managing two unconverted tries before halftime, which narrowed the score to 21-15.
In the second half, Cuvu continued their momentum with a fourth unconverted try, closing the gap to 21-20. However, Nasinu quickly countered, increasing their lead to 28-20 and ultimately sealing the match with a final try just before the end, concluding the game at 33-20.
