A tragic motor vehicle accident in Nasinu has resulted in the death of a primary school student. The young victim was reportedly standing on a footpath along Khalsa Road when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old man.
Following the incident, the driver quickly transported the injured child to CWM Hospital; however, the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to gather more details regarding the circumstances surrounding the accident.
This incident contributes to a concerning trend, with the national road death toll now at five, compared to just two fatalities during the same period last year.
