Amalaini Bui, who began her role in July, shared that her decision to apply for this job was heavily influenced by her family, particularly her four children. Bui expressed that her Christian faith has been a source of strength, helping her navigate the challenges she faces as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated role. She encouraged other women to embrace opportunities in fields typically reserved for men, underlining the importance of breaking down barriers.
In addition to her personal journey, Bui highlighted an essential aspect of the sanitation process, urging community members to properly secure their waste in garbage bags on collection days. She noted that when rubbish is left scattered, it not only delays collection but also diverts valuable time from attending to other areas of the town.
