Former Fiji 7s player Eminoni Nasilasila has been selected as one of the 25 players for Tide Tribe Malolo ahead of their crucial Skipper Cup grand final against Jacks Naitasiri this Saturday. This match marks Nasilasila’s potential return to competitive rugby after recently being released from prison.

Malolo announced their match-day squad in the evening, while Naitasiri is expected to finalize their lineup tomorrow as they manage a few players recovering from minor injuries. Imanueli Bari will lead the Malolo team as captain. This season, they have garnered attention for their fearless style of play and strong camaraderie on and off the field.

The starting lineup for Malolo includes Josevata Natoga at loosehead prop, Amasa Tamanigaunavou at hooker, and Ratu Meli Kurisaru at tighthead prop. On the bench, Malolo has Jotame Baleisuva, Kitione Vosailagi, Ratu Wame Waqanaceva, Penaia Masikula, Semisi Lave, Tevita Ledua, Aporosa Tabulawaki, Nasilasila, Josaia Cokaibusa, and Sikeli Ukauka.

This weekend’s grand final serves as a historic moment for Malolo as they strive to secure their first-ever Skipper Cup title against a seasoned Naitasiri team, who are eager to end their own 15-year title drought.
