Narere Rugby Team Secures Dramatic Victory: Full Story Here!

The Portsmouth Kelland Brothers team from Narere celebrated a triumphant victory against New Town with a 20-10 win in the semifinal of the Ram Sami Nasinu Rugby Union weekly club competition at the USP grounds yesterday.

The match was fiercely contested, with both teams entering halftime tied at 10-10.

However, in the second half, the Narere team showcased their supremacy in every aspect of the game.

Manasa Naquruwale demonstrated his skill with an impressive drop goal kick in front of the opponent’s line, giving his team a 13-10 lead.

This was followed by a remarkable diving try in the corner by Kitione Waqa, which secured their final victory with a score of 20-10.

Coach Avili Duwaqatabu expressed his gratitude to the almighty for the team’s success, emphasizing the hard work and dedication that brought them to this moment.

“First, I would like to thank the almighty for the win; he was our strength from day one until we reached this point,” said Naquruwale.

“Despite the challenges and struggles we faced along the way, the team’s unity and determination propelled us to this well-deserved win.”

Duwaqatabu praised his players for achieving their goal and stressed that their journey is not yet complete, with the final still ahead.

“Really proud of the boys; now our aim is the final. Still, one more job left to be done, and we are looking forward to it.”

He also thanked the fans and families for their unwavering support, acknowledging those in green at the grounds.
