This appointment reflects a proactive approach by SPX in strengthening its leadership and governance frameworks to enhance the integrity of Fiji’s capital markets. As SPX aims to align itself with global best practices, Nand’s knowledge and experience will be crucial in navigating the evolving financial landscape, fostering investor confidence, and promoting long-term growth within the sector.
Moreover, similar to recent appointments within Fiji’s financial institutions—such as new directors in the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) and the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF)—this change indicates a forward-looking perspective that emphasizes experienced leadership essential for initiating positive transformations in the region’s economic landscape.
