Naitasiri Secondary School is gearing up for an important clash this weekend as they aim to defend their Under-19 championship title in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary School Rugby League competition. The team is set to face Nasikawa Vision College during the National Quarter-finals at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
Captain Taniela Mudunasake expressed great respect for their opponents but also issued a challenge, emphasizing that they need to be ready for a tough match. He highlighted the rigorous training the team has undergone and believes it is time for them to showcase their skills on the field.
“Our preparations have been intense this week, but we always begin by thanking the Lord Almighty for our progress,” said Mudunasake. He expressed confidence that the team could successfully defend their title again this year.
Fiji Secondary School Rugby League president Naisa Toko urged fans and school supporters to come in numbers to support their teams during this critical phase of the competition. “We are calling on everyone to show up and demonstrate your support for your respective schools and the players who are stepping up to compete for top honors,” Toko stated.
