Nadroga has successfully avoided relegation following a decisive 4-1 win over Tailevu Naitasiri in Round 17 of the Digicel Premier League at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. Prior to the match, Nadroga held 14 points, which placed them two points ahead of Tailevu Naitasiri.
The Stallions took command early, leading 3-0 at halftime with goals scored by Semesa Sacere, Joel Chand, and Abhishek Ram. In the second half, goalkeeper Sakeo Taganeca converted a penalty to secure the fourth goal for Nadroga, while Tailevu Naitasiri managed to find the net once for a consolation goal.
This victory ensures that Nadroga remains in the safe zone and guarantees their participation in the upcoming FMF IDC and the Premier Division for the year 2025. On the other hand, the defeat leaves Tailevu Naitasiri in a precarious position alongside bottom-placed Nasinu.
