Nadroga has secured its position and is no longer at risk of relegation following a decisive 4-1 win against Tailevu Naitasiri in Round 17 of the Digicel Premier League at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
Entering the match with 14 points, Nadroga had a slight edge over Tailevu Naitasiri, which had 12 points. The first half saw Nadroga take a commanding lead of 3-0 with goals from Semesa Sacere, Joel Chand, and Abhishek Ram.
Nadroga’s goalkeeper, Sakeo Taganeca, added a fourth goal from the penalty spot, while Tailevu Naitasiri managed to score a consolation goal in the second half.
This victory secures Nadroga’s place in the Premier Division for 2025 and guarantees their participation in the upcoming FMF IDC. Meanwhile, the defeat leaves Tailevu Naitasiri still in a precarious position, sharing the bottom of the table with Nasinu.
