Nadroga Rugby is currently prioritizing its internal organization as it prepares for the upcoming 2026 season. The president of the Nadroga Rugby Union, Jiuta Waqavonovono, has indicated that the union is diligently working to meet its compliance requirements ahead of the Annual General Meeting (AGM), set to take place by the end of January.

Waqavonovono emphasized the importance of having all requisite documents in order, including the financial report, constitution, and club games report, prior to the meeting. He stated, “We are trying to get our compliance in place before we go into the AGM.” Discussions concerning the union’s programs and plans for next season will only occur after this critical meeting.

Currently, the players are in their off-season, taking the time to rest and recover in preparation for structured training that will commence post-AGM. Waqavonovono remarked, “At the moment, the players are preparing for their off-season.”

After a narrow defeat in the semi-finals of the Skipper Cup, where they lost 23-22 to Malolo, Nadroga Rugby is eager to regain its competitive edge in the next season. With a focus on governance and compliance, the union is expected to outline its plans for 2026 following the AGM, paving the way for a hopeful resurgence in their performance on the field.
